Recipe - Healthy Chicken Tacos


Makes: 4 Servings
Prep Time: 10-15 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chunky salsa
  • 1 cup shredded low fat, reduced sodium Cheddar cheese
  • 2 (5 oz) cans or 1 (10 oz) can Valley Fresh Premium Chunk White Chicken, drained
  • 8 ready made taco shells
     


Directions:

  1. Heat salsa until bubbly.
  2. Add chicken and gently mix.
  3. Reduce heat and continue heating until chicken is heated through.
  4. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of chicken mixture into each shell and top with cheese and lettuce.
  5. Give added zest by using your family's favorite toppings - tomatoes, black olives, sour cream, jalapenos. Be as cool or as hot as you want to be!
